Wow World of Aunt Owwee

Welcome Folks

My name is Aunt Owwee. Strange name, you might say. Well, I was dubbed that the day my ten nieces and nephews were burying me beneath a pile of pillows, afghans, and assorted toys. Every time they tried to put that toy piano on top of my head, I said "owwee". And thus the name.

My Current mood is The current mood of dreamwest@hotmail.com at www.imood.com This site is dedicated to my two favorite states: Michigan, where I live, and Montana, which I visit in the even years. It is also dedicated to all those dear nieces and nephews of mine.

July 4, 2004. We're baaaaaaaaaaaacccccckkkkkk!!

July 4, 2001. Whoa! It's been awhile since I've been here. Here are some fireworks pictures. They load slow, so I apologize in advance. They were taken at Sharp Park last night.

May 5, 2001. Someone just turned 40. Welcome to THIS side of the hill, Opal!

April 23, 2001. I was informed this weekend (and should have remembered it) that I needed to update the link to the message board. So here it is!! Message Board.
I also set up a back-up board for those days when network54 is acting up. It can be found by clicking on the button.

March 31, 2001. GO GREEN! The Final Four Michigan State v Arizona is just about to start. I predict another win! I want to go to another celebration on the Capitol lawn. Go White!!!!

Update. Unfortunately, a win for Michigan State University was not to be. But this team was great to watch, and gave us a lot of joy this year. Looking forward to many more exciting years. Hurrah, MSU!

March 3, 2001. Okay, Spring has to be around the corner. The Home Shows have started, the willow tree has just a bit of color, and I saw two guys hitting golf balls over in the park.

February 11, 2001. Once again, we've uncovered more old pictures. These include BooBoo too!

January 30, 2001. Baby Bull is on the Basketball team again this year! His team went undefeated. Go Mustangs!

January 14, 2001. My mother owns a farmhouse that is 93 years old. It was built by her grandparents, she was born in the north bedroom, we lived there for a year after my grandpa died, and it was home to my grandma and stepgranpa for many years. Grandpa passed away in August, so it is time to clean the old farmhouse and get it ready for rental. It's at once a fun, frustrating, historical, hilarious trip through time. And we've uncovered various treasures, some of which are pictures from the past.

November 26, 2000. Cubby is working on his own page. Watch for additions!

November 17, 2000. Silver Bells in the City is a downtown Lansing celebration. There is an electric light parade, and the State Christmas tree is lit.

October 31, 2000. Ruby and Tetonka's Porch.

Boo-tiful artwork

October 25, 2000. Two months until Christmas. The Red Cross holds an Empty Bowls event in conjunction with The Potter's Guild. For a fifteen dollar contribution, you get your pick of a potter's bowl, a bowl of soup, bread and water.

October 21, 2000. Lil and I went to a talk at the Michigan State Library presenting "Michigan Vital Records". It was a well done lecture. Part of the session was devoted to on-line references. I've made a page that lists these references with clickables. Now I can ditch my notes, LOL.

October 14, 2000. Homecoming weekend at MSU. An exciting game...but we lost.

October 7, 2000. Just got a new camera, and had to break it in.

September 18, 2000. Scrapping, Cropping, Making Scrapbooks...September has been the month to do that.

September 14, 2000. Hi! I had a branchial clef duct and cyst that had to be removed. It was supposed to be one of those easy things, a couple stitches and 45 minutes (though they did say they would put me out, because it tended to bleed in that area a lot). Well, imagine my surprise when I woke up as Scar Neck. Rated R for violence. I'm sure glad I was asleep for this. Apparently the duct had overgrown, so it took awhile, and over 35 stitches to get it out.

May 15, 2000. We have MORE PNG pictures.

April 15, 2000. We don't think of this as tax day (well, we do, but....) but as Double Birthday Day. Happy BDay, Ruby and Morning Glory.

Continued . . .
